PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN EUROPE

Abstract

The effective and successful development of any country relies largely on the higher education system. The revolutionary changes in technology based on the highest level of intellectual resources, and the associated competition among the leading countries in the world for these resources, is an important factor that determines not only the economy but also promotes social and political development. Universities play an important role in training professionals, high-level professionals, scientists and researchers who are important to the development of the country's economy, through the ability to generate knowledge by creating national innovation systems. In this context, the governments of different countries must be convinced that their universities are indeed contributing to the intellectual and scientific development of the population.
