Abstract

This paper proposes a structural-functional model of psychological support for State Emergency Service employees’ professional activity during normal and emergency situations. Тімченко In the course of professional activity, the employee of the State Emergency Service is affected by several adverse emergencies and psychological stresses, which determine the need to take into account the psycho-physiological-hygiene conditions and peculiarities of the employee’s work throughout the day and during emergencies. Five main structural and functional blocks of psychological support for the professional activity of employees of the State Emergency Service were identified and characterized: (1) a set of measures regarding the accounting of the conditions and features of the professional activity of employees of the State Emergency Service; (2) comprehensive assessment and monitoring of the psychophysiological state of the State Emergency Service worker; (3) a set of measures for the psychological support of the professional activity of employees of the State Emergency Service; (4) information and analytical support for monitoring the professional workload and state of psychological health of employees of the State Emergency Service; (5) a set of measures for the development of a psychorehabilitation base and specialized medical and psychological assistance for employees of the State Emergency Service. Special attention was paid to the consideration of the complex rehabilitation of professional contingents of Ukraine’s security and defence sector and ways of solving the problem of the lack of professionally trained personnel – psychorehabilitators.
