Wastewater treatment using using recycled automobile tires

Abstract

This study explores a promising phytoremediation method for wastewater treatment using various types of filtering media (such as car tires and construction materials). Developing natural, cost-effective measures to reduce the discharge of untreated wastewater into water bodies using industrial waste and used tires is a highly relevant task. The research direction of this study is focused on scientifically substantiating the need for implementing phytoremediation facilities using construction waste and used car tires as filtering media for wastewater treatment to improve the ecological state of surface and groundwater and increase the utilization of industrial waste, which is of practical value. The efficiency of wastewater treatment in phytoremediation facilities with appropriate filtering media (used car tires and construction materials) is as follows.
