Abstract: The paper examines how the increase in the number of foreign students affects the level of internationalization of higher education in Poland. Furthermore,, the authors examine the influence of the number of foreign students on the level of internationalization of Katowice School of Technology (compared to other non-public universities in the Silesian Voivodeship). Analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey of foreign and domestic students of the Katowice School of Technology confirms the hypothesis of the authors that the direct influence of foreign students on the economy of the city of Katowice is greater than that of Polish students.
