Abstract

Theobjectofthestudyistheselec-tive coefficient of variation of danger-ous parameters of the gas environ-ment during the ignition of materials.The measure of the sample coefficientof variation of an arbitrary hazard-ousparameterofthegasenvironmentobservedatanarbitrarytimeintervalissubstantiated.Therepresentativenesserror of the measure of the samplingcoefficientofvariation,whichdependsonthevalueofthemeasureandthesam-plesize,wasdetermined.Themeasureallowsyoutonumericallydetermineitsvalueforanarbitraryobservationinter-val. The difference in the measure attheintervalscorrespondingtothereli-able absence and occurrence of ignitionallowstodetecttheoccurrenceofigni-tion of the material. According to theresultsoflaboratorystudies,themea-suresofthesamplecoefficientofvaria-tionforcarbonmonoxideconcentration,smokedensity,andtemperatureofthegasmediuminthelaboratorychamberatintervalsofabsenceandappearanceofignitionofalcohol,paper,wood,andtextilesweredetermined.Itwasestab-lishedthatthedangerousparametersofthegasenvironmentattheintervalsofabsenceandpresenceofignitionarecharacterizedbydifferentvaluesoftheincrease in the measure of the samplecoefficientofvariation.Forexample,itisdeterminedthattheignitionofalco-hol causes the maximum increase in themeasureforcarbonmonoxideconcen-trationfrom0.135to0.441,forsmokedensity from 0.629 to 0.805, and fortemperature from 0.001 to 0.115. Whenpapercatchesfire,themeasureforcar-bonmonoxideconcentrationandtem-peratureincreasesfrom0.0026to0.140 and from 0.0019 to 0.05, respective-ly. When burning wood, the measurefor carbon monoxide concentration andtemperatureincreasesfrom0.0072to 0.177andfrom0.0067to0.016,respec-tively.
