To assess the current readiness of students for e-learning, the following criteria were used: independence in acquiring knowledge, cognitive activity, methods of mastering online educational activities. Characteristics of the levels of students' readiness for e-learning are given . The need for initial training of teachers and students in the use of distance learning technologies is confirmed. The analysis of the research data revealed, above all, an average and sufficient level of future teachers' learning independence, cognitive activity and experience of implementing online educational activities.
