| Abstract: | The authors highlight the essence of the main conceptual positions of the famous American sociologist and political scientist, one of the founders of the theory of world-system analysis, and public intellectual Immanuel Wallerstein. It has been established that the basis of I. Wallerstein's paradigm is the thesis about the identity of capitalism and the global economy. The scientific achievements of the scientist were assessed from the point of view of the main trends in the development of world geopolitical thought at the present stage. |
