Abstract. Understanding strategic communications predominantly as a component of the security and defense field limits the identification of their capabilities in public administration. The orientation of the characteristics of strategic communications to the achievement of national goals contributes to the effectiveness of public administration. In this article, the importance of the interaction of public authorities with the public sector, the place of strategic communications is grounded.
