Abstract: The article is devoted to an actual problem – an empirical study of indicators of the professional identity of psychology students. This paper raises the question of such a psychological phenomenon as a student’s professional identity and a specialist’s professional identity. It is proved that the student's professional identity deserves separate consideration, as it has its own independent psychological features, which were identified by the author on the basis of theoretical and empirical research of students-psychology from the first to the fourth year. An attempt has been made to separate students based on the characteristics of professional identity by type and describes these types.
