Abstract: The article analyzes the actual state of implementation of the state gender policy in Ukraine, and the results of the implementation of such policy in foreign countries. It was determined that at this stage of the development of Ukrainian society, the gender potential of our country prevails according to some indicators of the countries of the European Union. When analyzing the distribution of functions between the levels of the job hierarchy, we came to the conclusion that the reform of the state structures of management bodies and the breaking of the former practice of promoting women in this field caused a rapid increase in managerial positions, which are held mainly by men
